The Winners project was initially founded by Prof. Arnaud Wattiez, with Dr. Rudi Campo. It was established in conjunction with his clinical fellows with the concept of creating a platform where high quality endoscopic training and education could be freely accessible to all, on both a national and international scale.
The "STITCH UP" laparoscopic suturing course is an intensive three-days practical course set up, according to the standards of the European Academy of Gynecological Surgery, to give to participants the opportunity to learn and practice the basic techniques of laparoscopic suturing.
Dr. Catena participated as accredited tutor to the surgical training sessions for the GESEA program and as surgeon during live surgery sessions from the operating rooms
